Number of FFV on road in USA

Currently there are 6 million E85 compatible cars in the US. Anyone know the current number of cars on the road in the US?

    I am thinking 100 million cars and trucks on the road in the US in 2005. A more precise figure would be of interest.

    I could only find the data for 2003 from the US Dept. of Transport:

    231 million vehicles and 196 million driver.
